At least 6 years of age, successful completion of the skills in Red Cross Swim Kids Level 2



6-14 years of age


Front crawl is introduced as well the foundation for making wise choices on where and when to swim. Front glide with flutter kick for 15 meters. Back glide and side glide with flutter kick for 10 meters. Diving is introduced and children will work on floats and changing direction. Endurance is achieved by
building strength in flutter kick and a 15 meter swim.

3. Deep Water Float 5 seconds

6. Sitting Dive, Change Direction, Return to Safety



1. Rhythmic Breathing 15 Times

2. Front Glide with Flutterkick 15m

3. Back Glide with Flutterkick 10m

4. Side Glide with Flutterkick 10m 

5. Front Glide/ Side Glide Combination 10m (assisted)
